Malpractice Caps Unconstitutional in Illinois

February 4, 2010:  In a highly-anticipated opinion, the Illinois Supreme Court today issued an opinion in which it declared Illinois’ cap on medical malpractice awards to be unconstitutional.  This is an important decision, and the right one, and I will have more to say on it later. For now, this seems important enough to post it here, for the two or three people who, so far, seem to be reading this page.
